Hello Yogi Uncle,
I just came back to my parents’ house and saw the wedding album like 30 minutes ago. It is absolutely amazing! Far superior to what I ever imagined! And thank you very much for the upgrade – I could tell. This is the most beautiful wedding album I have ever seen. The pictures in the background were beautiful. The way the album was designed was awesome. The pictures were stunning. Everything about it was just perfect! Thank you very much – I absolutely loved it!

Dear Yogi and Prem,
This letter has been long, long overdue, and we apologize for its lateness. As you know, we are full-time graduate students, so we have very little free time. And in truth, we have struggled to find the exact and appropriate words to thank you for your flawless work that still takes our breath away. But we’re going to try!
From the very start we had high hopes invested in you and we knew that you wouldn’t disappoint or let us down, and you truly haven’t! We’re blown away by all the photos; there isn’t a single image that we don’t love. In fact, we couldn’t pick a favorite even if we tried.
Captured in your beautiful shots are the very essence of everything that was important to us that day- the laughs, the smiles, the fun, the romance, the friends, the family, the charm, the enchantment, the atmosphere, the love…all of it! You managed to seal it in a visual image that depicts our memories of that day in a way that we will love and cherish for the rest of our lives.
We thank you for your management and service because it has been nothing short of exceptional. Your style, generosity, and ability to take stunning contemporary photographs has left us speechless. We look through our pictures all the time and we instantaneously see our wedding happening right before our eyes again. And our album, our breathtaking album, is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. Friends and family constantly compliment us, telling us how beautiful our wedding pictures are.
Thank you for not only producing lovely pictures, but also for being so pleasant to actually work with on our wedding day. Your punctuality, down-to-earth nature, and friendly personality made everyone (including some of our camera-shy friends and family members) feel very much at ease and comfortable. We can confidently say that our entire wedding party, including our family members, enjoyed working with you.
We can go on and on about how happy we are with your work. But in short, we really cannot express to you just how overjoyed we are at the moments you captured. You saw so many things we didn’t see and reminded us of the many things we’ll never forget. We have been unable to choose just one favorite as they all make us laugh and cry and appreciate our friends and family.
Yogi, you truly exceeded our expectations. We suppose the highest compliment would be for us to tell you that if we had to do it over again, we would choose you every time.
Please do not hesitate to use us a reference. We wish you continued success in your career.
All our best,
Ambreen and Nick
Phenomenal doesn’t begin to describe Yogi, he has an amazing eye for capturing your special moments. We were looking for someone who would be able to capture the vivid colors of our Indian/American wedding while also keeping it fun/modern. He chose the most amazing backdrops, places we didn’t even know about in our own city! He was so great to work with and always so accommodating. Since we were planning a destination wedding, we worked mostly over the phone/email, but when we met him and saw his work, we booked our date immediately. Since we weren’t in town for an engagement session, we actually did a shoot after the wedding on the beach as sunrise came over the cliffs, he couldn’t have picked a more perfect scene. We’ve only seen a snapshot of our wedding day, but those were absolutely amazing, I can’t wait to see all of the photos, I know I’ll have a hard time picking/choosing!

Yogi and his wife are a winning combo! Prem was quick to make me feel comfortable and made me feel like family. She was open to offering advice and suggestions for vendors I was still in need of and was a sympathetic ear when I needed to vent. This is not a required or even an expected trait from your photographer, but it’s just one of the perks when you go with Global Photography. They really take time to become invested in your process and you are made to feel that they care -which I believe they truly do! It’s not like my wedding was just another job, but something they were looking forward to as well. As for the photography, I believe the shots speak for themselves, but the experience of the actual shooting was worth the cost of booking with Global. Yogi came prepared with all the camera equipment and plenty of ideas should you be a little camera shy, or if you just plain didn’t have time to plan what you want. I had plenty (maybe too many:) ideas for my engagement shots, and like a pro, Yogi captured exactly what I envisioned and went along with my hair-brained ideas, tweaking them to perfection and produced awesome results. He made us feel completely at ease, and the whole thing was just FUN! While he shot at the wedding, he was completely professional, navigating all the guests and family, as well as capturing all the intimate and private moments with close family and the wedding party. The results again were breathtaking and worth the decision to go with Global.
Want a hassle free and even enjoyable photography experience with professionals who care? Call Yogi and Prem at Global Photography and they will take care of you, like they did for me!

Dear Yogi,
I’ve written this recommendation of your work to share with other LinkedIn users.
Details of the Recommendation: “My wife and I asked Yogi to be our photographer for our wedding in 2008. It was a long-distance wedding for us. Yogi not only did an amazing job taking wedding and reception pictures, but also served as a key leader throughout the day. If you are looking for honesty, focus, dedication, and commitment to your project you can do no better than Yogi. My wife and I recommend Yogi without hesitation or reservation.”
Looking at these photos creates a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment in me. As the “over-involved” bride that I am, I took an entire year to plan our wedding. My husband was forced to learn shades of colors and species of flowers he had never heard of before! But now that we look at these photos, the end result of all the planning, dance practices, flying between NY and CA for meetings….it was all worth it. Worth it, only because the one vendor I knew I had to have, Yogi Patel, captured all our hard work into a collection of artistic images. Every detailed photo means so much to me and I knew I could trust him to capture these details. The bangles I picked out for my sister from the dusty streets of Chennai, the lavender bows my mother hand tied on every single coaster gift. Every picture means more to me than just a picture. The emotions he captures, the lighting he uses, everything is a part of a vision he sees way before these photos are even developed. Looking at his photos is an out of body experience. Every bride wants to feel beautiful and unique on her big day and Yogi has truly captured images that preserve the way I felt that day. I should also point out that he clearly has a talent in editing photos to look their best; enhancing certain colors, subduing other photos to classic black and white. He is a must have on your wedding day! Yogi is one of the few vendors that needs the least instruction that amazingly results in the best products, a true testament to his unique talents. Yogi, thank you again for capturing our day into a sequence of beautiful images.

Dear Yogi,
I’ve written this recommendation of your work to share with other LinkedIn users.
Details of the Recommendation: “Yogi photographed our wedding reception in 2004, and to this day, we treasure the memories he captured on film. Then, we hired him again in 2008 to take some family photos in his studio. Those pictures were very large-sized prints, and he did an absolutely amazing job with them. He used his art to create painting-quality images that adorn our house’s walls today. Yogi’s work ethic is excellent, and the quality of his photography is just excellent. We’ve seen the work of other photographers, but none can hold a candle to Yogi. I strongly recommend hiring Yogi.”

Dear Yogi,
I’ve written this recommendation of your work to share with other LinkedIn users.
Details of the Recommendation: “From our first meeting in early 2005, to now (early 2012), Yogi has been incredible to work with. He was the first photographer we interviewed and after speaking with him, we canceled all our other appointments. His artistic flare was evident from his website, but meeting with him in person to view his portfolios was an experience in and of itself. Each photograph my wife and I saw seemed to be alive with the atmosphere of the wedding. What impressed us the most was that no two pictures were alike – and no two wedding collections were the same. Yogi seemed to capture each couple’s individuality and allowed his pictures to tell their story. My wife and I were instantly impressed by this. Yogi himself spoke so eloquently about his passion for his work and the joy of photographing weddings.
In the fall of 2005, Yogi took our cousin’s marriage photos, giving us a small glimpse of what it will be like to work with him on our close friend’s wedding day. Being photographed by Yogi was a terrific experience. Not only was He fun to work with, but He was so excited to work with us. I have been to so many weddings where the photographer treats it as a job – get in, take the picture, get out – but for Yogi, there is nothing monotonous or rigid about shooting a wedding or engagement photo. He walks into each “job” as a new and exciting experience. He leaves all expectations at the door and tries his best to capture the essence of the couple and their love for each other.
Yogi genuinely loves his work, his passion, sense of adventure, and his easy-going personality have made Yogi a true pleasure to work with.”

Dear Yogi,
I’ve written this recommendation of your work to share with other LinkedIn users.
Details of the Recommendation: “Yogi’s photography is truly magical. Reflecting back on our wedding day two and a half years ago and having perused our pictures several times, Yogi captured our wedding story in vivid strokes from start to finish. His pictures come to life in our albums and we find ourselves reliving our joyous moments over and over again. Our engagement session was a fun experience that truly captured my husband and I as a couple and we knew right away that Yogi would be able to deliver the quality of pictures that we desired. The wedding day was also beautifully captured with many emotional, fun, and beautiful moments. Our wedding day was beautiful and these memories have been captured eternally in a creative and breathtaking way by Yogi who traveled from California to Texas just to photograph our special day. We are indebted to Yogi and his team for adding to the joys of our special day by being personable, reliable, and for being fun companions with whom we could share our journey in becoming a wedded couple. I highly recommend Yogi and Global Photography for any moments in your life that you would like to remember forever.”

Yogi, these are fabulous. Thank you so very much. I am very impressed with how relaxed you have made Amita looking in the photos, because she was not in reality, and how fabulous you have the cere site and the ballroom looking. I love the fisheye pic of the ballroom.
I will for sure be blogging and showcasing these.
Tx so very much again, and I really look forward to working with you again, you were low maintenance to work with and I appreciate that.

“I am glad that we invested in Yogi, to do the photos for my daughter’s wedding. They look like they are on canvas, and they are still beautiful, and everyone who comes to my house still enjoys them. My late husband used to look at them and used to tell me, “This man is an artist”. If I have, I need photos I will invest in him again. Wish you luck Yogi Munni Irone.”

I lost both my mother and father a couple of months ago….Dec/Jan so now more than ever we are all appreciating pictures and videos. The last time we all saw them well was at our shadi and the festivities surrounding the wedding. It is truly amazing how pictures and videos can preserve so many memories.

Hi Yogi,
I wanted to personally thank you for capturing our special day. You did an amazing job and all the pictures look absolutely beautiful! I’m so happy that we had you to photograph us. Anurag and I were so comfortable from the engagement pictures till the reception with you and are so happy with the outcome.
Many of our family and friends will be seeing these and will be very impressed as we were, so I’m sure you’re going to be getting calls to photograph their upcoming wedding on the east coast.
Thank you again! We are so thrilled with these pictures! Give my regards to Prem Aunty also.. She was helpful in picking our engagement pictures too.
Love,
Neha & Anurag
Let me firstly address the bad reviews written on Yogi. I am an attorney and I thoroughly read the contract sent to me for my Indian wedding in December 2013. I asked questions and nothing was ‘hidden’. As a photographer Yogi has complete rights to the pictures he takes UNLESS it is explicitly written on the contract that you signed. He was very upfront that the engagement photos were a free one-hour shoot but I would not have get any of those pictures in digital form – ever. He stated that I could buy them in print, and I could buy as many as I wanted. Our package also included a free 16×20 print from the engagement shoot. So, if you are unhappy I would blame you for not reading the contract thoroughly.
Our engagement shoot was absolutely beautiful, and I am very picky with my photos. In fact, it was so nice he actually made a metal print of one of the photos he loved and it is displayed everywhere he goes – conferences, one in his home when you walk in, his studio, advertising, etc. On top of that – he gave me a free huge metal print of the image myself because I let him use it to advertise. We did end up loving the other engagement shoot photos so much we made a collage on a huge canvas that cost us over $1,500, but we are still very extremely happy with it. Although I knew I would not get any of the digital images of the engagement shoot I loved them so much I offered him a lot of money for them, but he simply refused as it is not his policy. He spent more than a hour at our engagement shoot, let me change a few times, and we went to a few locations really close by – the reason being was that I was nice to him and did not haggle from the beginning like most people try to do. He said that really bothers him because it degrades his work. So if you want a friendly photographer – BE NICE! So after all that hard work from him and his sidekick, I really don’t see why he would give away digital images when he knows you have to buy them in print from him. It all makes sense. Read your contract!
Our wedding photos are jaw dropping good. I told him from the beginning that photos are the MOST important thing for me from my wedding. If he needed to stop the whole wedding to get that one good shot…he was allowed to. I told him in particular what parts of the wedding I definitely wanted photos of and he got some amazing shots of it. The night before the wedding he was grabbing dinner near our hotel and asked if me and my husband wanted to meet up so he can give us our canvas because he was so excited for us to see it. If that is not sweet, I don’t know what is!
On the day of Yogi was there on time and ready to shoot. He was courteous to everyone and knew exactly what shots he wanted and where. He had come a few times before to the location to scout it out – and it is a good 1.5 hours from where he lives. He does his research, he works hard, and his photos are absolutely amazing so I really don’t see why he shouldn’t be paid for all of it.
He took the time in our huge group picture to straighten everyone’s sari, suit, hair and the group picture had over 35 people in it. That photo is amazing as well.
We ran late to our reception which was in a different location than the wedding. He went back and forth from our photoshoot place and reception just so he could capture more pictures as they mingled for the cocktail hour. Again, he did not need to do that seeing it was 10 minutes away from each other. He could have just waited for us at the photoshoot place since we were only 30 min late.
Our contract said that the wedding day we would only get 12 hours of total coverage. Toward the end it was running out of time and as a bride it was the last thing I wanted to stress about. He said do not worry I will stay until you want – free of charge. This guy is truly a sweetheart…if you are a sweetheart to him.
We did have in the contract that I would get all the digital images from the whole wedding day. Also, our contract said we would get one 30 page 11×14 album and one 30 page 9×12 clone album. Unfortunately, my only complaint is that he got really busy with a few wedding expos and conferences and we did not get our pictures and albums until 5 months after the wedding. But I hear that is typical. When we did go pick the album – WE WERE BLOWN AWAY!!!!!!! He ended up loving our wedding photos so much he put a glass cover on the album tops, gave us two of the same size huge album, and the album came in a really nice box with our picture on it ALL FREE. He also apologized for the lateness of the photos and album but that is something every person told me – photographers take forever.
So we are thoroughly impressed and happy with Yogi’s work. I researched a lot of photographers before going with Yogi and I am very very glad I did. If you want to see the photos please email me at monapatelesq@gmail.com.

As a photographer myself, my sister naturally asked me who she should use to shoot her wedding. I knew Yogi’s work was amazing and that he had won more awards than any photographer I know of. As a person I’ve always thought of him as a man with great integrity who has earned a lot of respect in the photography/wedding industry, as well as other photographers using him for their own family weddings…so I told my sister to interview him. My sister…and now Brother in Law, immediately chose Global Photography without even interviewing any other photographers…they don’t regret it one bit! They are SO happy with their choice. Their experience from beginning to end, including the engagement session, the slideshow he showed at the wedding reception and the portraits are exceptional!!!
Although this is somewhat a second hand review as it’s was my sister’s wedding, I can tell you she is picky! and experienced when it comes to good business ethics… and of course “photographers” as she has been my best friend through MY 20 years as a photographer/business owner. She gushed about how great her experience was with Yogi.
I witnessed firsthand Yogi in action on the day of the wedding and he was VERY professional!
I would feel completely comfortable recommending Yogi again to shoot my friends or loved one’s weddings.

Anita and I shopped around quite a bit before calling Global Photography. I still remember the call very well. Yogi was out of town capturing some lucky couples’ SPECIAL DAY. I spoke with Prem, Yogi’s wife, and a fellow photographer who patiently answered many of our questions. She informed me that Global Photography has been booked in advance for many weddings and if I was interested, then I should let them know ASAP. Anita and I informed them that we would like Global photography to capture our Big Day after spending an afternoon admiring the artful manner in which they depicted other joyous occasions. Our engagement session was when we discovered that we couldn’t have chosen anyone more perfect for the job. In a short time period, Yogi was able to capture tender moments and beautifully illustrate our relationship in photos. More importantly, it was a fun and exciting day that renewed our love for each other. We flew Yogi and Prem to Austin, Texas and truly appreciated the role that Global Photography played on our wedding day. Global Photography was extremely professional, PUNCTUAL, artistic, humble, polite, genuine, supportive and OPEN MINDED. Every time we open our perfectly orchestrated wedding album, we re-experience our most joyous and intimate moments as if it is occurring right before our eyes. Anita and I are immensely happy that we chose GLOBAL PHOTOGRAPHY to preserve our wedding forever and we highly recommend that you talk to Yogi and Prem.

I DJ a ton of weddings where Yogi takes pictures. I’ll be honest I don’t get to deal with Yogi behind the scenes like brides do but what I do see is how much this guy hustles… I suppose I see a different behind the scenes perspective. I’ve always liked his work but recently he did a wedding for one of my friends Mona Patel and man he took some really amazing pictures! I was jealous! Even as a DJ we deal with a lot of circumstances that can hinder our product and service at an event. It’s our job to jump over those obstacles and still deliver. Granted people are stressed at their event but if a DJ or even a photographer lets one thing in the schedule push things back it pushes everything back… and creates a disaster for a wedding. That being said I can understand under certain situations a bride may be stressed dealing with a tight schedule and some of that stress may be taken out on a photographer trying to do his job… but at the end of the day you really get a great product to remember that day by. Photos are probably the most valued keep’s sake from any wedding. I’ll be honest, I didn’t like Yogi at first… The guy doesn’t refer me enough =) J/k but over the years we’ve seen each other battle obstacles at weddings that clearly deliver a happy bride and groom. Just like me I’m sure he does over 150 events a year… and just like me most of my grateful brides are talented professionals that don’t have the time to express their gratitude on yelp. If he commands a high price and pulls business the guy must be doing something right! Thanks for taking some great shots of us doing our thing, Mr. Patel.

When looking for a photographer to capture one the most memorable events of our lives, we wanted a photographer who is artistic, technically knowledgeable, but most importantly personable and easy to get along with. Yogi and Prim Patel of Global Photography perfectly fit our wishes for a wedding photographer. His understanding of exposure and light along with his artistic “eye” captured our wedding day beautifully. With the exquisitely taken photos, he crafted our album into something more than what we could have dreamed of!
Abbas and Madina
Yogi and Prem couldn’t have made our wedding any better than it was. They are punctual, responsible, and their pictures are stunning. At our engagement session, we had a great time taking the pictures. Yogi has such a creative eye and an open imagination. When it came to
What a rewarding and worthwhile experience….
When we first got engaged, Yogi Patel was the first vendor we had to secure for our big day. His work speaks for itself, and no one can deny that. We took our time looking through the beautiful images on his website and it did not take long to convince us that we needed to have Yogi as our photographer. Yogi truly captured all the hard work that went into organizing our dream wedding. The resulting collection of artistic images is beyond our expectations. Every detailed photo means so much to us and we knew we could trust him to capture these details when we hired him.
Working with him on our wedding day was a breeze. He was detailed, instructive and efficient during the pre-wedding photo shoot. We appreciated how focused he was throughout the day. I know it must not have been easy to get his shots amongst the sea of relatives/friends who brought their own digital and DSLR cameras. At some points Yogi even politely shared the photo opportunity moments, stepping aside to let family members take their own photos. He was flexible but aggressive enough to get his job done, which at the end of the day is all that matters. He had a job to do and he obviously took his job seriously. We respect that. We never once heard a complaint from him. Throughout the day he had an instinctive idea of the time required to get his shots, he pushed us along smoothly. We didn’t mind being instructed because now that we have all our photos and all the variety of poses, we understand why he had to stick to a schedule.
The post-wedding process was done via email and on-line proofing. The website was organized and easy for us to pick out photos for 3 different albums. As the over involved bride that I am, I really liked that he let us pick out all the photos for the albums and then gave us a chance to edit images after the layout. I never once felt like I was doing “work” but more so that I was involved in the decision making of something we considered an investment. The final product was beyond our expectations! The editing, layout and final touches made a world of a difference. When we got our albums, we knew that we had made the right decision in hiring Yogi and his team. Everyone who sees our photos and albums is impressed with the work. Our experience with Yogi and global photography was everything that we expected and needed. We were always treated with a professional approach; our emails and questions were answered promptly and we never once felt frustrated. Yogi understood our expectations and exceeded them. We couldn’t have asked for more. My husband and I sincerely thank Yogi for his patience, time, efforts, and creativity.
